I've never been much of a painter, but I was extremely inspired by Cassie Dixon's work, so I tried out some watercoloring for the first time.

I'm building an iphone app with my boyfriend Ned which will allow young kids to interact with popular stories. Here is my character design for Goldilocks:

Lunar Gala
Lunar Gala is a fashion show that takes place at Carnegie Mellon every year. In order to participate, students have to put together a portfolio of 8-12 looks, present them to the judges, and, if chosen, construct the garments to present at the show. I always wanted to participate in this event, but was extremely busy.
Here are the drawings I created for the Lunar Gala portfolio (these drawings were never presented, so actual garments were not made)

Doodling with Code
Processing is a great tool to create interactive doodles. Here's one I made in Golan Levin's class my senior year:

Doodling with Music
I started playing piano when I was 5 years old and I spent a lot of time throughout middle and high school writing songs. I also attended a music performance high school for a year in addition to my academic school.
Here is some of my music:

Let's Start at the Very Beginning
On my 8th birthday, I was given a birthday gift that influenced me monumentally: my first diary. As an only child, I didn't have anyone my age to talk to around the house. I used my diary as an outlet and wrote in it as if it were my best friend. This is, I believe, where my love for sketching, doodling, dreaming, and writing comes from.
Here is my very first diary entry:
